COLUMBIA — Thanksgiving weekend gives downtown Columbia a double reason to shop local.

The Merchants Association of Columbia’s monthly 4th Saturday falls on Saturday, Nov. 28, which is also national Small Business Saturday. It runs 3 to 6 p.m. downtown, according to the official Discover Columbia events calendar.

What to expect

Since the start of 2026, the association has hosted 4th Saturday every month with a different theme. Shops stay open later, restaurants and bars run food and drink specials, and there are prizes to be found around town. The association posts each month’s theme on its Facebook page.
