COLUMBIA, PA – Columbia Borough Council approved two appointments to the borough’s Planning Commission during Monday’s meeting.

Colette Shaw was appointed to serve on the Planning Commission through December 31, 2027, while Todd Alshouse was appointed as an alternate member with a term running through December 31, 2030.

The Planning Commission plays an important role in shaping future development across Columbia. Members review subdivision plans, zoning matters, land development proposals, and other issues related to community growth.

Council members welcomed both appointees and thanked them for volunteering to serve the community.

Officials noted that citizen participation on boards and commissions remains essential as Columbia continues to address development opportunities and long-term planning initiatives.
